Science Friday Project
What is it:
National Public Radio (NPR) has one of my favorite programs on Fridays called “Science Fridays”. Science Friday
is a weekly science talk show, broadcast live over public radio stations nationwide from 2-4 pm Eastern time as
part of NPR's 'Talk of the Nation' programming (http://www.sciencefriday.com/). Each week, Science Friday focus on
science topics that are in the news and tries to bring an educated, balanced discussion to bear on the scientific
issues at hand. Panels of expert guests join Science Friday's host, Ira Flatow, a veteran science journalist,
to discuss science - and to take questions from listeners during the call-in portion of the program.
Task:
1. Go to the link for Science Friday (http://www.sciencefriday.com) and select any podcast of any topic.
Select an Episode or segment to listen to. Segments must be at least 20 minutes in length to qualify.
2. Listen to the podcast
3. Reflect via written response or video/audio diary (private youtube link in a google doc that I have access to).
You MUST include the episode date, title, and or segment name you will be reporting on.
4. Submit your work on the google turn in form. Either a google doc with your written response or a google doc with the link to your private you tube audio diary that grants me viewing access. If I can't access your work I can't give you credit so please check the accessibilitybefore you send it to me.
